Long Island Fishing

Long Island is an island
located in Southeastern New York and stretches northeast into the Atlantic
Ocean.
Surrounded by water on
all sides, Long Island has over 400 miles of coastline which adds up to a lot
of spectacular shoreline and features a wide variety of ocean fishing
experiences.
The Long Island coast has great sport fishing for:
Blackfish, Weakfish, Bluefish, Flounder, Striped Bass, Porgies, Cod, Tuna,
Marlin, Shark and more.
The south shore of Long
Island contains the most extensive acreage of tidal wetlands and the greatest
diversity of habitat in New York, which makes for some great inshore fishing.
The waters of the 32 mile long Fire Island Inshore is famous for top-notch
fishing for fluke, striped bass, and weakfish among others.
